Lyric
Lyrie is the ultimate love bug. With her doe eyes and soulful gaze, she melts hearts. She is approximately 5 years old and weighs approximately 45 pounds.
She loves attention, and she is fantastic with adults and kids. We rescued her from SCBR last summer, and her personality has been coming out over that time. Unfortunately, she and another bulldog are not getting along, and she is holding a grudge against him.
It has created an untenable situation for both dogs at home, and it seems that she would be better suited in a single-pet household. That is the only reason why she is looking for a new home for her.
Lyrie is crate trained, and she sleeps 18-20 hours a day (in and out of the crate). She is house trained and also trained to a handful of commands, though she can be a bit headstrong. From a care perspective, she sheds a bit, and she benefits from 2 baths per week to combat skin irritation.
At home she lives on the second floor, and she can do stairs, but don’t overdue it as ultimately bulldog’s front shoulders start to feel the pain. She gets 2-3 walks per day around the block, but she doesn’t need a ton of exercise. Like all bulldogs, need to be careful about too much exercise in strong sun, even though she loves to sunbathe. She eats 2x per day (6am and 3pm) and loves treats. We are not aware of any experience with other animals, but she does love to chase after squirrels. She also loves riding in cars, and actually likes going to the vet!
She would be an ideal dog for a home that can provide her with love and attention as the sole pet in the house. Prior experience with Bulldogs will be beneficial to be familiar with the breed and their quirks and temperament
