GusGus
GusGus is about 3-years-old and has moved around a bit this summer so we’ll plan to give him all the time in the world he may need to settle in and show his true colors.
Gus is hit or miss with his foster sister but meeting other dogs has shown to be very stressful for him. We’d recommend him as an only dog but can, to a limit, eval with with very docile dogs.
Gus is well-mannered and LOVES to cuddle in close—he doesn’t want you to forget how much he loves you! He walks well on leash, doesn’t appear destructive and loves to play with water toys!
He came in with some skin irritation due to allergies so we’re working with PAH to get him feeling 100%. We are unsure of what long term management he’ll need for allergies.
10/2/22: He's handsome and protective of his family. He loves to cuddle and watch TV with you. He prefers to be the only dog of the house. He's not fond of other dogs at first ..... he has to get used to them first. He has some manner issues when it comes to interacting with other dogs. He doesn't like to share his toys or his people and will make sure every dog knows this. He's also an escape artist. Despite being a Bulldog, he's quite agile. He can jump a small chain-link fence when you're not looking. He's quite smart at being able to find ways out of the yard and house, to go on a walk-a-bout. He's completely potty trained. He'll let you know when he needs to go outside. Gus has some skin issues and does best with some allergy meds and grain free dog food. He tends to get a red chin when his allergies flare up. Gus really does love family and gets along with many kids as long as he's closely supervised by an adult.
Interested approved adopters will need to travel to the Omaha/Lincoln area with all family members and pets to meet GusGus. His adoption fee is set at $425.
