Comments:
Jaba is a handsome, lovebug who came into rescue just before his 8th birthday—of course he’ll have a party! Jaba previously lived with a small dog but was noted to not be friendly with other dogs. His current fosters are slowly and patiently working to introduce and expose him to the other bulldogs in the home.

Jaba loves playing a rousing game of fetch in the backyard to help burn off some energy. When separated off from the rest of the house, he barks his displeasure so we’ve been using just a touch of trazadone to take the edge off until he feels more at home.

Jaba is athletic (for a bulldog) and LOVES to be around his people. He’s been fine so far with limited exposure to little kiddos. It sounds like he’s shaping up to be an amazing guy with more time, love and patience!

10/3/22: Jaba is staying with a backup foster while his crew is on vacation and has shown the transition (fairly) is stressful. When adopted, he’ll need slow, steady, loving interactions on his terms. We do have him scheduled for a cherry eye repair on his L eye at the end of the month so he has a little bit to go.

Interested, approved adopters will need to travel tonaha with the entire family and any dogs to meet Jaba. His adoption fee is set at $300.
