Tuna
Tuna is approximately 3-years-old and has been bounced around a bit in her short life. We know she was initially adopted from a shelter in spring 2020 and lived with that person and small doggos for that timeframe. For whatever reason, she was rehomed about a year later but learned almost immediately she wasn’t a good fit for the home.
Tuna packed her bags and moved in with TGLBR where she’s working on her manners, debuting her mermaid skills in play pools and sprinklers, and reminding her foster parents of the importance of a regular shower (the walk in shower is one of her favorite places to hang out!). Tuna has also been introduced to football games, backyard fire pits, and elevated beds which double as trampolines. Needless to say, Tuna has quite the silly personality!
Tuna has shown resource guarding with her food/bowls, something her fosters continue to work on. In the interim, we absolutely recommend either no other dogs or complete separation at meal times to avoid any stress. Her foster sacrificed her toes when the resource guarding first arose.
Tuna is a rare kind of girl who would actually do well in an apartment setting. She LOVES walks so a yard isn’t make or break for her. Tuna also has lots to say when her people are around but limits it to mumbles and grumbles, saving her barks for outside time.
Overall, Tuna is in fantastic health—occasional red eyes or an itch (nothing a Benadryl can’t help!) with easy to clean wrinkles and ears.
Interested approved adopters would need to visit Tina in Omaha with all family members, including pets. Her adoption fee is set at $425.
