Comments:
Tootsie is a three year old Bullie who was abandoned by her owner, left to depend on the kindness of strangers to feed her when she was attacked by a pack of dogs. She was rescued but not before one of them broke one of the bones in her back leg. A Good Samaritan got her to a local shelter. Their vet suggested crate rest while the broken fibula healed. Unfortunately she had a torn cruciate ligament in her other back leg. She has had ACL surgery to repair the damage and is healing well. So we are looking for responsible home for Tootsie who will be able to care for her. She will not be able to do but one or two steps so a one level home would be good. Since the surgery we have had an incident which tell us that she needs to be an only dog—no cats, no children. She is a sweetheart as long as she is not with other dogs. We also think a strong male presence would be beneficial. She weighs 57 lbs, is spayed, chipped, HW negative, UTD on shots. She will need a quiet home with few steps. We will consider a foster home or a foster to adopt home.
