Comments:
Ruby is approximately 6 years old and was an owner surrender. Ruby has extremely dry eyes and is currently on eye drops for treatment. She will likely need to remain on prescription drops and artificial tears for life. Ruby is also a rather Rubenesque lady and needs to lose some weight to decrease the stress on her joints. Joint supplements will be beneficial for her in the long run. Ruby will also be having a mast cell tumor removed from her shoulder and biopsied before she is available for adoption.
1/16/2020—Ruby doesn’t care if her sweater is from Christmas—she’ll forgo looking trendy to stay warm! Ruby is approximately 6 years old and is ready to start talking with potential furever families about their couch. A good couch with lots of room for snuggles is key in Ruby’s world. She’s doing well with the small humans in her foster home as well as the cat and dog. She’ll require close monitoring for her chronic dry eyes and to watch for new lumps and bumps on that cute little body. Her vet removed a mast cell tumor from her shoulder but overall prognosis is good!

Ruby initially gave some over-eager hugs to the kiddos in the family but, as she's settling in, has done this much less frequently. She is so far doing well with the other dog in the household but will need to have an appropriate doggie intro with interested families.

Ruby loves to be petted and rubbed while stretched out like a diva on the couch.

Ruby is located in the Omaha area. Interested adopters will need to travel to the area for a meet and greet with all family members and fur kiddos.
