Comments:
Harley is looking for a very special family to help adjust to his new life. He needs a family that has a great deal of experience with Bulldogs, understands their temperament and can project confidence and provide him with a sense of security. He was surrendered by his family because of a new baby and is having trouble adjusting. He is stressed by new surroundings and if he senses uncertainty, he can easily become anxious, agitated and somewhat fearful. He needs a structured environment with a family that can help him build his confidence, reassure him when he is fearful and give him a great deal of attention.
He can be apprehensive of strangers and must warm up to new people slowly. He does not do well around babies or toddlers and needs a family with older children and perhaps a non-threatening dog who could be his buddy and playmate. He is a sweet, loving, smart, and stubborn boy, who loves to play but like most Bulldogs, sometimes may need to be reminded when he plays a little too rough. He walks well on a leash and is potty and crate trained. He uses a bell hung from the door to let you know when he wants out. He is very healthy but does have corkscrew tail that needs cleaning daily. He is neutered, UTD on shots and heartworm negative. He will be a wonderful companion for the right family.
