Update 8/11/10: Virgil is still in need of a home! This beautiful boy has been in rescue since Sept. 2009.....does someone out there have a big heart for a big love? No other male dogs for Virg.....please help Virgil find his forever home!!
Hi, I'm Virgil! I am one big, beautiful bulldog! I need a new home and someone to love me. I have a funny looking left front leg...it's enlarged due to multiple nodular dermatofibromas, a condition caused by renal lesions or renal cysts. I get around just fine, although I have a slight limp. My leg has probably been like this for years and I'm used to it. It doesn't hurt at all. Since this condition is linked to my kidneys, you will need to have a urinalysis done on me every six months to make sure my kidneys are functioning well. As of right now, all my urine tests have come back A-OK. I'm on a medicine called Rubenal once a day to help my kidneys stay in good working order. My medicine costs $37/month and foster mama says I'm worth it!
I'm not a dog that wants to go for long walks, although I do love to play a bit! I would be OK with a nice female dog, but can be alpha around the boys...so let's stay away from that. I am very good with children over 5....don't forget I'm a big boy and could accidently knock over the little ones. My foster kids nicknamed me "big foot"...and I think it's cute. I am very loveable and like my belly rubbed and lying out in the sun. I love toys! Please give me a great home. I will be your best friend ever.
Love, Virgil (Big Foot:-)
